September Wrap Up

Wrapup

Hello everyone!! I know I am a little late, but I now have my September Wrap Up! I am so happy with myself again this month! I have completed 9 books!

So, I didn’t get to every book I had on my audio book TBR… After I listened to That Summer by Sarah Dessen, which I didn’t care for, it kinda put me off from wanting to listen to anymore.

That being said I listened to 6 audio books and read 3 physical books!

Here we go!

Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige 4/5 stars (re-read)

The Day the Angels Fell by Shawn Smucker 3/5 stars You can check out my review here

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli 4/5 stars This is a new favorite of mine!! I love Simon and our mystery guy so much!

Dorothy Must Die: Stories .1-.3 by Danielle Paige 3/5 stars I love me some Novellas, especially in a world I am loving!

Dorothy Must Die: Stories Vol 2 by Danielle Paige 3/5 stars

That Summer by Sarah Dessen 2/5 stars I really didn’t like this. I will be continuing to read things from her though!

Honor Girl: A Graphic Memoir  by Maggie Thrash 4/5 stars I cannot recommend this enough! My only problem was that I wanted more!! FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC audio book!! I listened to it 3 times!

Little One by Timothy G. Huguenin 2/5 I DNF’d at 50% Was not a fan of the writing among other things.

How to Make a Wish by Ashley Herring Blake 5/5 stars Another favorite of all time. I also feel confident in saying this will be my favorite of 2017!

That is what I read in September! I am looking forward to seeing what October will bring!

What did you read last month???

Down the TBR Hole #2

Hello everyone!

Back for another round!

Down the TBR Hole was created by Lia @ lostinastory

“Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when youre scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well thats going to change!”

The Rules:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Here we go with the next five on my list!

Dracula In Love Karen Essex

Drac

Added Aug 1st 2011

I feel SO bad that I have not read this yet!! I actually won this one in a goodreads give away! I wanted to read Dracula first because this is supposed to be taking place at the same time as Dracula, but from Mina’s POV, but it never happened (still hasn’t). Dracula is one of the books I want to read this month, so I hope I can get to it soon!

Judgment: Keep

Firelight by Sophie Jordan

Firelight

Added Aug 1st 2011

I feel that if I would have read this then, I probably would have really like this, but I can tell from the synopsis that this is something that I am just kind of done with.. Instalovey and the fact that it has been said that if you loved Twilight, then you would like this doesn’t help. I re read Twilight in July and I hated every second, even though it used to be a 5 star book for me! Part of me still wants to keep it, but I really don’t think I am ever going to read it.

Judgment: Go

Passion by Lauren Kate

Passion

Added Aug 1st 2011.

I read the first two and then completely lost track of everything. I wasn’t much of a reader then. I know that even if I decided to read this I would have to re read the first two, and that is not going to happen. Based on what I remember, I would hate it now, even though I was really enjoying the series then. I can’t believe how much has changed in 6-7 years and how much becoming a more of a reader these last few years has really helped me grow.

Judgment: Go

Sense and Sensibility  by Jane Austin

Sense

Added Aug 1st 2011.

As I said in my previous Down the TBR Hole post, classics are a thing that maybe I would like to read, but are not something that I am going to forget about if I take them off of my TBR. I know that I won’t be getting to them any time soon.

Judgment: Go

Ward Against Death by Melanie Card

Ward

Added Aug 1st 2011.

Another one that if I would have read this then, I probably would have liked it. It just isn’t something that interests me that much now…

Judgment: Go

Holy crow! Another four books to take off of my TBR. It doesn’t feel like much because I keep adding new things, but at least I am clearing out the things that I really don’t want?

Starting this project, I was at 841 books. I am currently at 836 and I have removed 6 through this project. I am going to try and keep track of what I remove through Down the TBR hole, and see where I am each week because I know that I keep adding stuff! I am hopeful that between reading more of what is already on my tbr and removing things I won’t read, I will get this number down!!

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you next time!!

September Audio book TBR

Hello everyone!

So, I got the idea to do this from allonsythornraxx, so go make sure to check out her post!! I think I might make it a monthly thing! I am just going to share the audio books that I have checked out from the library. I have already listened to three but I still have 11… That I need to listen to, all by October 1st… Yikes! I just got a library card for a place that has a lot more options and I kind of went nuts. 😀

Wrap up

August Wrap up!

Hello Everyone!!! I hope you all had a fantastic reading month!

Wrapup

I managed to read six books this month! Not the most, but higher then my average! Here is what I read this month.

Geekerella  by Ashley Poston 4/5 Stars

Holding Up the Universe  by Jennifer Niven 4/5 Stars

Beauty Queens by Libba Bray 3/5 Stars

By Your Side by Kasie West 2/5 Stars

What I Lost by Alexandra Ballard 5/5 Stars

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera 4/5 Stars

What I lost is one of my favorites of ALL time!! You can check out my review here!

I found By Your Side really irritating. I felt like there was not enough follow through with some details in the book. This is the second book by Kasie West that I have read. I really enjoyed P.S I Like You, but I am not in any rush to pick up anything else by her unfortunately.

Over all, I really enjoyed everything that I read this month and I am looking forward to another awesome reading month in September!!
